Operator

As an Operator at Nedal Aluminium in Utrecht, you will be part of the extrusion department. The process heats aluminum and presses it through a die. This creates specific shapes like tubes, profiles, and sheets used in various industries. When you start as an operator at Nedal, we offer you the following:

• Salary (according to the Metalektro Collective Labor Agreement) starting from €16.91 gross per hour, including a 16% shift allowance. Salary is negotiable, depending on age and experience.
• Working fulltime, with the possibility of a permanent contract.
• You can enjoy 25 vacation days and a 5% reduction in working hours. This is equal to 13 extra days off in a 40-hour workweek, supporting a healthy work-life balance.
• Travel Allowance provided from 5 kilometers.

In the extrusion department, you will perform various operations to produce profiles using the press. As an operator, you will operate different machines to stretch profiles and cut them to size. Your responsibilities also include:

• Inspecting profiles for straightness, dimensions, and damage
• Installing dies
• Training and developing towards operating the press drive

The operator role begins with a two-shift schedule from 06:30 to 15:00 and 14:30 to 23:30. Later, it changes to a three-shift schedule from 07:00 to 15:00, 15:00 to 23:00, and 23:00 to 07:00.

In this role, you will operate in a dynamic machine environment. You must be comfortable with machine noise and direct communication with colleagues. We are looking for someone who:

• Has preferably completed a technical education or has relevant work experience in a similar role
• Has ambition and wants to develop into an all-round press operator
• Possesses a Vapro diploma, forklift or reach truck certificate, or VCA certificate—these are a plus but not mandatory
