Building up a pension as a temporary worker: how does that work?
A frequently asked question is whether you also accrue pension as a temporary worker. The answer is simple: yes. You start accruing pension benefits from your first day of work as a temporary worker. You must be at least 18 years old. The exact details of how this works are outlined in the collective bargaining agreement for temporary workers. In this article, we’ll explain a few things to you.

From the very first day you start working through UBN or another reputable staffing agency—and provided you’re over 18—we have a pension plan for you! You’ll accrue pension benefits through the StiPP pension plan, with UBN contributing 15.9%. You’ll pay a small portion of the premium yourself, amounting to 7.5%. This all happens automatically, and you don’t have to do a thing. Your pension plan also includes a survivor’s pension and—under certain conditions—a premium waiver in case of disability. That’s nice to know.
Pension benefits are part of your employment terms. That’s why we also consider the pension plan offered by the company where you work. If their pension plan is better, you’ll receive an additional allowance.
Equal pay
Under the collective bargaining agreement for temporary workers, you are entitled to equal pay. This means that your terms and conditions of employment must be equivalent to those of your colleague at the company where you work who holds the same or Function comparable Function.
