Are you a motivated and detail-oriented Foreman with experience in the graphic arts industry? Then read on! As a Foreman, you’ll work closely with the Operators and the Print Shop Manager. You’ll hold regular meetings to discuss the progress and quality of the work, and liaise with the Technical Department and Quality Control as needed. We offer a gross monthly salary of €2,897.

We also offer you the following:

  • A gross hourly wage starting at €16.65, depending on your experience.
  • A full-time job with three shifts, Monday through Friday.
  • A standard surcharge of 122.69% results in a gross hourly wage of €20.42.

What will you be doing?

As a Printing Foreman at our client’s facility, you will be responsible for setting up and operating their gravure presses (up to 10 colors). You will ensure that high-quality printed materials are produced on time, in accordance with the schedule and order specifications.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Setting up and operating the gravure printing press: You set up the machine according to the order specifications and operate it in accordance with production and quality requirements.
  • Checking and adjustments: You check to make sure the correct materials and tools are available and make adjustments as needed.
  • Troubleshooting: For technical issues, resolve printing-related problems on your own and contact Technical Support for machine-related issues.
  • Ink preparation: You mix inks according to the formula and ensure that the units are stocked.
  • Maintenance: You will perform routine minor maintenance, such as lubricating parts and checking filters, pumps, and air bearings.
  • Production logging: You enter production data into the production logging system.
  • Keeping the work area clean: You are responsible for keeping the area around the machine clean and tidy.

Your strengths

What we’d like to see in your profile:

  • MBO Level 2/3 educational and cognitive level, preferably in graphic (printing) techniques.
  • Experience with gravure printing and packaging materials.
  • Knowledge of quality, safety, and environmental systems.
  • Experience in handling hazardous substances.
  • Proficiency in Dutch (speaking, reading, and writing).
Where will you be working?

Our client specializes in the development, production, and sale of flexible packaging made from materials such as plastic, aluminum, and paper. The factory focuses primarily on the production of specialty duplex and triplex laminates for coffee, aluminum lids for yogurt and margarine, and polypropylene laminates for bakery products, including metallized variants. In addition, they manufacture polypropylene and/or polyethylene laminates for chips and snacks. They also produce triplex laminates with high barrier properties, made from aluminum or metallized polyester, or with aluminum-free (EVOH) materials, ideal for foods such as cereals and pet food.
