Production Worker

As a production worker at Nedal Aluminium in Utrecht, you’ll earn at least €2,915 gross per month, including a 16% shift premium. This salary depends on your age and experience. You’ll be part of a close-knit team where collaboration and communication are key. As a production worker, you’ll work full-time and have the opportunity to advance to the role of operator. As a production worker at Nedal Aluminium, you will be involved in the production of aluminum profiles and light poles. You will start by assisting experienced operators. This will allow you to learn, step by step, how to operate and monitor the machines on the production line yourself. This takes place in one of the two departments:

• Extrusion Department: Here you will learn how to extrude, process, and package profiles. You will operate various machines to straighten and cut profiles to size.
• Lima Department: You will learn how to manufacture light poles. You will use techniques such as taper drawing, conical forming, straightening, sawing, turning, milling, grinding, and bending aluminum.

You will perform all these tasks in accordance with Nedal’s high quality standards. You will work with machining equipment such as straightening machines, presses, and sawing machines, and learn to thoroughly inspect all parts for dimensions, deviations, and damage.
Function production worker starts with a two-shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM and 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM. After that, you will transition to a three-shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

You are willing to work in a three-shift rotation and are available for day, evening, and night shifts. You are in good physical shape, though the use of assistive tools makes the work less physically demanding.
If you can check off the items below, that’s definitely a plus!

• A completed technical education at the LBO level or higher (preferably in metalworking, mechanical engineering, or automotive technology);
• A valid forklift and/or reach truck certification;
• VCA certification;
• Lifting certification (overhead cranes);
• VAPRO.
