Order Picker

Are you looking for a job outside of regular office hours? Then read on! We’re looking for an order picker in Aalsmeer to sort and prepare orders in the evenings and at night. In addition to physically demanding work and plenty of movement, you’ll earn a gross monthly salary starting at €2,730, excluding bonuses.

What can you expect from us?

• A gross hourly wage of €15.69 (excluding bonuses), depending on age.
• A full-time position of 30–40 hours per week. The work hours are from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM. With these work hours, you’re eligible for some great bonuses! Between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM, you’ll receive a 34% bonus, and on Saturdays and Sundays, you’ll receive a 200% bonus.
• Travel allowance of €0.19 starting at 7 km.

As an order picker, you are responsible for distributing bread to customer locations. You walk a lot during a shift—more than 20,000 steps a day! Using the computer, you can see how many loaves need to be distributed to each location. This process moves at a fast pace, as our client supplies all Albert Heijn stores in the Netherlands! You’ll be in frequent contact with your colleagues, but you’ll also work independently. This company offers many opportunities for career advancement.

What will you be doing as an order picker?

• Using the computer, you will quickly sort the loaves by customer location. You are also expected to work accurately to prevent errors.
• You enter the product codes into the computer to process the distributed loaves of bread.
• Counting shortages and surpluses of products on the shelves. And, if necessary, correcting any mistakes or reporting incorrect quantities. Preparing and stacking filled crates for transport.
• Transport raw materials, packaging materials, and auxiliary supplies in accordance with regulations. Comply with safety, occupational health and safety, and HACCP guidelines.
• For this job, you must be physically capable of lifting and walking 15 to 20 km at a time. You are not afraid of the physical demands of the job. You are able to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods of time.

To be eligible for the Function position, we’d like to see the following qualities in you:

• Flexibility: You’ll work both weekdays and weekends.
• You are physically fit; you walk 15 to 20 km while picking orders.
• You are fluent in Dutch and/or English.
• If you have your own transportation: there is no public transportation nearby.
