Trainee operator

Nedal Aluminium in Utrecht is offering you the opportunity to start as a Trainee Operator in our extrusion department. • Training opportunities: You’ll start as a trainee operator and learn all the ins and outs of the job.
• Salary: A gross monthly salary between €2,942 and €3,300 (including a 16% shift differential), depending on age and experience
• Vacation: 25 vacation days plus 5% ADV (13 additional days off based on a 40-hour workweek).
• Travel allowance: You are eligible for a travel allowance for trips of 5 kilometers or more.
• Clothing and protective gear: The company provides your work clothes and personal protective equipment.

As a trainee operator, you’ll be working in a team of five colleagues. We regularly organize fun company outings, and free coffee, tea, and water are available in the factory. Snacks and lunch options are also available for a small fee.

In Nedal’s extrusion department, you will perform a variety of tasks involved in the production of aluminum profiles. As a trainee operator, you will operate various machines. You will develop into a specialist in stretching and cutting aluminum profiles to size. You will also learn how to inspect the products and install dies. Eventually, you may advance to operating the extrusion press.

During your training, you will initially work a two-shift schedule (6:30 AM to 3:00 PM and 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM). Once you have gained more experience, you will transition to a three-shift schedule (7:00 AM–3:00 PM, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, and 11:00 PM–7:00 AM).

• Preferably a completed technical education at the LBO level or higher; a willingness to learn and motivation are the most important qualities.
• Experience in a similar Function a plus; we’d be happy to teach you everything you need to know.
• Certifications such as Vapro, forklift, reach truck, or VCA are a plus but not required. We offer opportunities to obtain these certifications during your training.
