Operator

As an Operator at Nedal Aluminium in Utrecht, you will become part of the extrusion team. In this department, aluminium is heated and pressed through moulds to produce strong, precise profiles. These products are used in sectors such as rail infrastructure, event and tent construction, grandstand systems, and the bicycle industry. In this role, you contribute directly to smart, high-quality solutions that are used around the globe.

• Salary: A gross monthly salary ranging from €3,631 to €3,973, including a 16% shift allowance under the Metalektro collective labour agreement
• Job security: A full-time position (40 hours per week) with the intention of a permanent contract

Your tasks as an Operator include:

• Adjusting and fine-tuning the saw to accurately cut aluminium profiles according to specifications
• Running equipment that straightens and aligns aluminium profiles to the correct shape
• Checking finished products to ensure they meet size requirements, are properly aligned, and free from defects
• Mounting and changing dies while working closely with the press operator to keep production running smoothly

Working hours: You will start in a two-shift system, working from 06:30 to 15:00 and from 14:30 to 23:30. After this initial period, you will move into a three-shift rotation: 07:00 to 15:00, 15:00 to 23:00, and 23:00 to 07:00.
If you depend on public transport, support is available to help arrange suitable options. Schedules are shared well in advance, and there is flexibility to swap shifts with colleagues when necessary.

• You communicate clearly in either Dutch or English, so you can work safely and effectively with your team
• You have a technical foundation, gained through education or experience as an operator in a production environment
• Certificates such as forklift, reach truck, Safe Lifting or VCA are a plus, or you are motivated to obtain them through training
• You feel at ease in an industrial workplace, where noise levels can be higher and temperatures may fluctuate
