Operator

As an Operator at Nedal Aluminium in Utrecht, you will be working within the extrusion department. Here, aluminium is heated and pressed through dies to create durable and highly accurate profiles. These products are applied in industries such as rail, event and tent construction, grandstands, and bicycles. In this position, you play an important role in delivering innovative, high-quality solutions used worldwide.

• Salary: A gross monthly salary between €3,631 and €3,973, including a 16% shift allowance according to the Metalektro CLA
• Security: A full-time role (40 hours per week) with the prospect of a permanent contract

Your responsibilities as an Operator:

• Setting up and accurately calibrating the saw to cut aluminium profiles to the correct dimensions
• Operating machines that straighten and align profiles so they meet quality standards
• Checking finished products for measurements, alignment and any visible defects
• Changing and installing dies, in close coordination with the press operator to ensure a smooth production flow

Working hours:
You will begin in a two-shift pattern, working 06:30 – 15:00 and 14:30 – 23:30. After this period, you will transition to a three-shift schedule: 07:00 – 15:00, 15:00 – 23:00 and 23:00 – 07:00.
Do you rely on public transport? We are happy to think along with you to find a suitable solution. Your schedule is communicated well in advance, and there is flexibility to swap shifts with colleagues where needed.

What we expect from you:

• You can communicate clearly in Dutch or English, ensuring safe and effective collaboration with your colleagues
• You have a solid technical base, either through education or hands-on experience as an operator in a production setting
• Certifications such as forklift, reach truck, Safe Lifting or VCA are beneficial, or you are willing to obtain them through training
• You are comfortable working in a production environment where noise levels can be higher and temperatures may vary
