What will you be doing?

As a Fire Safety Maintenance Technician, you’ll be on the road every day in your own region, primarily around Houten the rest of the Central Netherlands. You’ll start your day from home and visit customers on-site. You’ll maintain fire alarm and evacuation systems and ensure they operate safely and reliably. You get a sense of fulfillment from troubleshooting malfunctions and completing your work thoroughly. Sometimes you’ll encounter a malfunction that needs to be resolved quickly. You’ll stay calm, identify the cause, and find a good solution.

You’ll work independently, but you’ll be part of a team of technicians who help each other and share their knowledge. The atmosphere is informal and hands-on. Communication lines are short, and you’ll always know who to turn to.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintenance and Inspection of Fire Alarm and Evacuation Systems
  • Troubleshooting and performing repairs
  • Testing of installations in accordance with applicable standards
  • Documenting Your Work in Reports and Logs
  • Participating in the on-call rotation

Your strengths

For this Function , it Function important that you enjoy technical work and are meticulous. You must be able to speak and read Dutch, as this is necessary for safety instructions and reports.

We also ask:

  • Vocational education (MBO) level of work and thinking in a technical field
  • BMI and OAI Maintenance Specialist Certificate
  • Experience with fire alarm and evacuation systems
  • Class B driver's license
  • VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one
