Logistics Associate

Will you make sure the books are delivered to all libraries in good condition and on time? As a logistics assistant, your working hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You’ll start with a salary of € 14.00 gross per hour. You’ll work 37.5 hours per week. The gross monthly salary is €2,275. At this great company in Zoetermeer, you’ll see the latest books come through. You’ll be given the necessary responsibility and will keep track of everything on the work floor.

• You work Monday through Friday.
• The salary is €14 .00 gross per hour.
• Travel allowance: $0.21 per mile if you travel by bike or car.
• Travel expenses for public transportation: 100% reimbursed.

As a logistics assistant, you will be working in the shipping department. The shipping department is the final stop for all books. All books are sent to the appropriate libraries in the Netherlands. You will be responsible for ensuring that happens.

What does your typical workday as a logistics associate look like:
 

• You go over the daily schedule with your colleagues and supervisor.
• Place the books on the conveyor belt.
• An automated machine sorts the books on a conveyor belt.
• Next, you’ll sort the books into boxes using a paternoster machine (a type of order-picking system).
• Is the box complete? Then get it ready to go.
• You’ll keep track of everything and work with the team to ensure that targets are met.
• After a final check, pack the boxes and make sure they have the correct shipping label.

The boxes are now ready to be shipped to all libraries in the Netherlands.
By the end of the day, you’ve worked together to ensure that all scheduled tasks are complete. You leave your workspace neat and tidy.

• You already have some work experience in logistics.
• You are skilled with computers and various systems.
• You have a good understanding of logistics processes and a positive attitude.
• You are capable of performing physical labor.
• You are fluent in spoken and written Dutch.
