UBN supports KWF
UBN Uitzendbureau not only offers people opportunities in the labor market, but is also very involved socially.
This commitment is reflected, among other things, in our support of charities. In recent years, UBN has supported organizations such as Hartekind Foundation, Foundation for the Child, Heartbeat Foundation, Spinning for Life and the Food Bank Gala.
In 2025, we chose the KWF!
Against cancer. For life.
Ever since 1949, KWF has been against cancer. But even more than that, we are before life. Before being there on time, thanks to a call for population screening. For getting your life back on track, after a tough course of treatment. For the very best treatment with the fewest possible side effects. And for being surrounded by the right attention and care, even if you don't get better. KWF works together with partners at home and abroad. We connect people, organizations and experts in order to achieve the best results together. KWF makes itself heard in politics in The Hague: because we want children to be able to grow up smoke-free, because we want attention to be paid to a better quality of life and death, because we want expensive medicines to become available more quickly and because we want attention to rare tumors.
Cancer affects more people than ever before. That's why we want to be there for all people who have or have had cancer and their loved ones. To be able to live life as much as possible. That's what we do together.
Why KWF?
Our colleague Esmée nominated this wonderful cause and tells why:
Cancer affects us all, directly or indirectly. Personally, I have already experienced loss twice: my dear grandmother lost her battle against lung and brain cancer 20 years ago and my dear mother-in-law fought fallopian tube cancer for three years, after which she unfortunately passed away and has not been with us for two years now. Two very beautiful, sweet and strong women who were still full of energy in life and were far from finished here on earth, they lost the battle.
It made me realize how often we worry about things that ultimately don't matter. How often we take our mental and physical health for granted, when that is all that really matters. It is a tough and unfair disease, for the person who is sick but also for their loved ones. That's why I think it's so important to stand together, offer hope and contribute to research and support!
