Operator at Nedal Work with aluminum and contribute to trains, bicycles, and moreAt Nedal Aluminium in Utrecht, you will join the Extrusion department, where aluminum is heated and pressed through dies to create high-quality aluminum profiles. These profiles are used in a wide range of industries, including train manufacturing, tent construction, event structures and grandstands, as well as the bicycle sector. Your work directly contributes to products that are visible and used worldwide.

• Salary: You will earn a gross monthly salary between €3,631 and €3,973, including a 16% shift allowance in accordance with the Metalektro collective labor agreement;
• Stability: This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week with the opportunity to obtain a permanent contract at Nedal;
• Travel allowance: Reimbursement for commuting costs starting from 5 kilometers;
• Vacation: You are entitled to 25 vacation days per year;
• Development: Nedal offers extensive training and advancement opportunities, allowing you to grow into roles such as Allround Press Operator or Shift Leader. Certifications like forklift and VCA are also supported.

• Preparing and adjusting the saw to accurately cut aluminum profiles to the required lengths;
• Operating machinery used to straighten and align aluminum profiles;
• Inspecting profiles for correct dimensions, straightness, and any visible damage;
• Installing and changing dies while working closely together with the press operator during production.

Working hours as an Operator:
You will start in a two-shift schedule with working hours from 06:30 to 15:00 and from 14:30 to 23:30. After this initial period, you will transition to a three-shift system with shifts running from 07:00 to 15:00, from 15:00 to 23:00, and from 23:00 to 07:00.
Do you commute by public transport? We are happy to look for a suitable solution together. Work schedules are shared well in advance, and exchanging shifts with colleagues is possible.

• You are able to communicate in either Dutch or English to work safely and effectively with colleagues;
• You have a technical background through education or practical experience as an operator in a production environment;
• Holding certificates such as forklift, reach truck, Safe Lifting, or VCA is considered an advantage, or you are willing to obtain these through training;
• You are comfortable working in an industrial setting where machines generate noise and where temperatures inside the factory may vary.
